F.A.Q./LEGAL

Anonymous Confessions is a place where you can confess anything. Confess your deepest darkest secrets, or tell us what you really think about your wife or life. Confess that embarrassing secret, the one that makes you cringe every time you think about it. Confess your secrets at Anonymous-Confessions.com You are completely anonymous at Anonymous Confessions whether you're posting a confession or commenting.

In case you are not sure how this project works- here is some information to help guide you through the process.

Using the "Confess" link @ ANONYMOUS FORM is how a person ANONYMOUSLY posts whatever they desire; using the categories provided; similar to Craigslist with Buy & Sell, Missed Connections, Rant, Confessions, Services, Complaints, Date, and One Night Stand/Hook Up.

The Forms data is then dumped into a spreadsheet @ FORM SUBMISSION DATABASE which then is posted to the website @ www.NorCalAnonymous.com, to Twitter @ https://twitter.com/NorCalAnonym0us and to the Facebook Page @ ANONYMOUS-CONFESSIONS FACEBOOK PAGE which has multiple moderators and administrators to avoid abuse and to stay within Facebook policies and guidelines.

Each post on the Facebook page has a link to the website's post which is where one could ANONYMOUSLY comment to the Anonymous post. Commenting on Facebook is NOT anonymous.

This site is Mobile Enabled and optimized to use on your phone seamlessly which is the bread and butter of this project, also an App (alto banned by Google Play for not being "family friendly").

Since late 2015 Anonymous Confessions has been website based at www.NorCalAnonymous.com and the Facebook page ANONYMOUS-CONFESSIONS FACEBOOK PAGE is just an extension of this actual site, as is the Twitter page and Instagram.

H.R. 1865 “FOSTA”

The President signed H.R. 1865, the “Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act of 2017” (commonly known as “FOSTA”). The law is intended to limit the immunity provided under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (“CDA Section 230”) for online services that knowingly host third-party content that promotes or facilitates sex trafficking. As drafted, the law has retroactive effect and applies even with respect to activities occurring prior to its enactment.

While the vast majority of websites, apps and online services that host user content steer far away from promoting sex trafficking, platforms are often not aware of everything users post, particularly large social media or similar sites that have thousands or millions of users. Thus, without the protection of CDA immunity, providers may seek to avoid liability under FOSTA by simply deciding to shutter online message boards, “personals” pages, or similar offerings where the content of user posts might potentially trigger FOSTA liability. For example, following FOSTA’s passage in Congress, craigslist shuttered its personal sections, citing the fact that “any tool or service can be misused.”

Other online services might employ automated tools to screen out objectionable postings. Of course, no tool is perfect and critics of FOSTA (such as the Electronic Frontier Foundation) have argued that compliance efforts will necessarily censor lawful opinions or content posted by advocates that are seeking to help or improve the condition of sex workers. Some major services may also choose to employ more human moderators to remove objectionable content, a cost that might be prohibitive for smaller websites.

Us at Anonymous-Confessions.com do employ human moderators to remove and edit questionable content. We at Anonymous-Confessions.com are aware of what is posted and we do not condone or allow or involve ourselves in any way with sex trafficking or sex related crimes. As part of the Legal Disclaimer, the user (you) accepts this and uses this website at your own risk with your human free will that shall be accountable for yourself.

The law creates a new federal criminal offense that prohibits the use or operation of a website or interactive computer service to intentionally promote or facilitate prostitution, along with providing for civil remedies for victims. The law also provides for additional remedies to allow federal and state officials to fight sex trafficking. Anonymous-Confessions does not intentionally promote or facilitate prostitution and fight against fight sex trafficking. This website is simply a tool for entertainment purposes only, used at your own discretion with human awareness that some people are bad.
